That place is so big it’s scary. Is it me or is it faintly ironic that the author of The Grapes of Wrath came from that area?

I Have sown mine as well. currently in modules in a mini-greenhouse.
If you have an Aldi or Lidl near by, very cheap sowing/pottong compost and I feel it is just as good as some branded names.

Hehe, nothing wrong with being a bit eager! Warm some soil with black plastic then plant the broccoli out under fleece and it should do just fine.

Is yours a particuarly early type? Where from? You got me worried and I checked my timetable, but both my varieties are for sowing in April.
